LXX Psa 24:6  (23:6) αὕτη ἡ γενεὰ ζητούντων αὐτόν, ζητούντων τὸ πρόσωπον τοῦ θεοῦ Ιακωβ. διάψαλμα.

Hebrew Text Psa 24:6  זה דור דרשׁו מבקשׁי פניך יעקב סלה׃

This in some ways, while it in reconcilable, puzzling why the word for 'God' אלהים is lacking in the Hebrew, and how it would have been translated thus into Greek? Is this translational difference in connection to Gen 33:10  And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me. ?
