"very good" appears to be relative, i.e. better than "good" but not as good as "very, very good". Certainly not absolute i.e. "perfect". Even if "very good" did mean "perfect" that could mean that creation including Adam was fit for purpose. Fit for purpose could mean that Adam and Eve were incapable of resisting temptation in their own strength because they did not have any, and because that privilege was reserved for Jesus so that He could say that He had come to fulfil the Law. See Mat5v17. Can the meaning of "very good" be fixed by straight forward translation without theological bias?
Gen 1v31. "very good", what does it mean?
