I'm not sure we can answer 2), but I could add detail about how lineage was viewed at the time of the prophecy. I would submit (will when I edit for #1) that this prophecy is not yet fulfilled so future definition of lineage doesn't matter as much as how it was defined by the prophecy. I'm not sure I understand your 3rd point though. The question was both 1) who is mourning and 2) what's the significance? So future Jews are the Who, descendents of modern Jews. | |
