About

I use Stack Exchange for Biblical & Philosophical questions & answers. I was church-raised and "Christian" all my life, except for a year in Atheism. Something always felt wrong in the many churches I attended. Around age 60 I realized 2/3 of the Bible is Old Testament, which is Not Christianity. It was presented by God first to show us the "human nature" way of operating, and the OT promised a better way was coming. The New Covenant is "foolishness to the Greeks" (to philosophers.) It isn't the human nature Way. And Christians keep falling back to the Old human nature way of law, condemnation, guilt, shame, and Ick. "Oh foolish Galatians." Much of the Epistles are telling the church, "Stop being Old Covenant!" (my paraphrase.) -- I started realizing how pervasive this is all around me. It's become my Passion to address this. I've written books (unpublished) that Christians refuse to read to the end--offended. Atheists read it to the end. -- I DO believe we need the Old Testament. We are to Love God as much as we can (and that isn't very much for some people.) And we are to love others as much as ourselves (and that isn't very much for some people.) As we love God, we "should" want to learn more about Him. The Old Testament gives us insight into learning Who God Is. As we learn of God's love for us, we grow in loving ourselves, then in loving others.
