Texan, raised in Texas and Kansas, been all over the USA, currently living in East Texas. Was raised Protestant in the "Church of Christ" which sings hymns without a choir and does not use instruments during worship.

I married into a Catholic family and to have our wedding blessed by the Catholic Church and to use their cathedral for the blessing ceremony I went through the RCIA classes and was confirmed a Catholic and am on the Catholic rolls in the Fort Worth Diocese. Still consider myself more of a Protestant, though. Sorry Catholics =)

Recently have decided to read the Bible on my own (RSV-Catholic Edition Translation, sorry Protestants) and had a question, so here I am.
