Sadly, the noble purpose of BH is undermined by a persistent and theologically driven resistance to what the Biblical text actually says. "Biblical" in 'BH' is usually replaced with traditional theological ideas never taught by the Apostles or Jesus.
Most seem unwilling or unable to read what the bible actually says, preferring what they have been taught or have been told it says instead!
The Bible should be read on its own terms and interpreted by its own evidence on any topic. There is no need for complicated theories and adding unneeded mystery where no mystery in intended. Again, sadly, the typical Bible has been corrupted with a trinitarian bias to trip up humble sheep and well-meaning teachers from knowing the simple truth.
If anyone is seeking to understand what the Biblical text means without the added illogical burden of man-made and non-Godly inspired theories, then seeking a viable alternative that rejects such intrusions is a good place to start. Is any group that calls itself 'church' correct in all things? It would seem not.
But thankfully, a few are a lot closer than the rest. Those that teach of the One God - the Father (as Jesus and Paul did) and of the human Jesus (who cannot possibly be God according to the entire Bible) would be a good place to begin. To think that the majority all think basically the same thing and so cannot be wrong, is to misjudge the influence the 'god of this age' has had - to deceive and misdirect.
All we have is the word of God to measure His truth by - and of course, a measure of holy spirit to guide and open our hearts and minds. When we allow the Bible words to say what they actually say, the difference between truth and not truth will become obvious!
