I am a Moody Grad. working on an MDiv @ Southern. I just signed up so that I could perhaps give light to the topic about David & Joab. I am just shooting from the hip on the two answers I've given. I doubt I'll get 50 rep in order to answer the Joab topic. At the same time I think this site helped give me enough in-site on it to gain a satisfying answer for myself about why David was still a man of God in the condemnation of Joab's actions. Murder is murder, Noahic & Mosaic laws during David's day were still to be upheld, especially by the King. If anything David failed in that civic duty by not putting Joab to death sooner or punishing him for his crimes, despite Joab's loyalty and character to David over the years. Thanks again.
