A ruling Pharisee, member of Sanhedrin, becomes a disciple of Jesus, mentioned in John's Gospel.

Nicodemus is described as a Pharisee who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. (John 3:1 Sanhedrin?). After the crucifixion of Jesus, he bought 75 pounds of spices to anoint the body of Jesus, as he and Joseph of Arimathea buried it in a newly carved out tomb.
