Questions regarding the New World Translation of the Bible

This is a Bible translation published by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, and used by Jehovah's Witnesses. The New Testament was published in 1950, and a full, Old + New Testament was published together in 1961.

Note that Jehovah's Witnesses generally refer to the New Testament as the "Christian Greek Scriptures" and to the Old Testament as the "Hebrew Scriptures".

The New World translation does not include the "apocrypha", but consists of a 39 book Old Testament and a 27 book New Testament.
