Questions about the document known as the "Didache" or "The Lord's Teaching through the Twelve Apostles to the Nations", an early Christian document providing guidelines and instructions on a variety of topics.

The Didache has been described by some as an instruction manual--in addition to counsel in righteous living, it discusses processes, policies, and procedures more systematically than is typically found in the New Testament.

The Didache is a Greek document and is usually dated to the 1st century. It was lost for many years but rediscovered in the 19th century. There appears to be a strong connection with the Gospel of Matthew--scholars are divided as to whether this indicates direct quoting or a common source.

An extensive article describing the Didache (cited several times here) is available on Wikipedia, and the text of the Didache can be found in English here.
