The creation of the world, described most prominently in Genesis 1-2; other creation traditions are scattered throughout the Hebrew Bible.
While the opening chapters of Genesis most famously recount the origins of the cosmos ("cosmogony"), other creation traditions are found embedded especially in the Psalms (e.g. Pss 90, 104) and the Wisdom Literature (e.g., Proverbs 8; Job 39-41). "Creation" language is also prominent in Isaiah 40-48.
