Questions about the second letter of Paul to Timothy.
One of the pastoral epistles, Paul wrote this letter shortly before his death (see 2 Tim 4:6-8). Often held to be his last letter, many consider it his most personal.
2 Timothy was written to Paul's fellow laborer and son in the faith, Timothy, whom Paul had appointed to lead the church in Ephesus.
Those who accept Pauline authorship of this epistle have generally held that it was written during his second Roman imprisonment late in the reign of Nero.
