I Gen. 1:26 we read: > And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. My question does not ask what the image of God is in terms of its spiritual or moral significance. What I want to know is about the literal image of God. What does the creation of Adam and Eve and the birth of Cain tell us about the Godhead? If He says that He created us in His image, then even the intentionally unique manner in which God created the first family could be instructive of His personhood. There must could be something revealed in man's creation that sheds light on the relationship that exists between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
