Oct 14 at 17:15 | comment | added | Biff | I don't disagree. We have been discussing about actual fruit that falls from trees does not mean the fruit is bad, but that it is ripe. My avocado tree drops the best fruit, better than when they are picked directly from the tree. So the original question is not trying to say that Cain offered anything bad to God, but that his offering was later in the harvest, yet still the best quality because all the fruit on the tree doesn't ripen at the same time. I agree with the point that fruit does not actually imply literal fruit. | |
