Apr 24 at 13:43 comment added Tom BIGGER issue is most ppl take it too literally and treat others EXACTLY like they THEMSELVES would like to be treated themselves, so it PRACTICE, it needs to be: "Love others as THEY would like to be loved.". E.g., if you're messy and like the music loud and is always late, when you're visiting, working, living, etc. with someone's who's the oppo, you need to make every effort to be neat, turn the music down, be on time, etc. and vice versa (i.e. be TOLERANT of the other being messy, loud, late, etc.). BOTH types should be in race to see who can OUT-TOLERATE / ADAPT FOR each other.
