Ephesian 4:23 “ And be renewed in the spirit of your mind” …. All humans have a spirit. This spirit is enslaved to the ways of Satan. Until we are known by God and are awakened, we are children of disobedience. Once we are known by God and the Holy Spirit indwells us are told to renew our minds. Until then, we cannot do anything that pleases God because we are Satan’s children. Christian struggle with the two natures warring within ourselves. This is the struggle that Paul speaks of in Roman 7. The renewing of the mind begins with the desire to please God Roman 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
