He then starts talking about the Baptism of John(???)... Yes: if we scoot back two chapters (John 3:32), we find indeed that it was not just John who was testifying but the loud audible voice from heaven, which was the Father. His Father was the one "who testifies about me." In other words, Jesus was referring to the loud audible voice from heaven that testified that he (Jesus) was the Son of God. | |
