Since we know that God allowed Satan to attack, or test Job, and we also know that God already knew the outcome, is it possible that this is just a story, an extended parable, etc.

Satan surely knows that God can see the future so he already knows the result right? God already knows the results so he doesn't need to really test Job right?

Not saying that it's not inspired writing, but not historical?
