What is the literary genre of Job: history or story?

Since we knowthe Book of Job says that God allowed Satan to attack, or test Job, and we also know that that God already knew the outcome, is it possible that this is just a story, an extended parable, etc.?

Satan surely knows that God can see the future so he already knowsOr, does the result right? God already knowsevidence suggest that the results so he doesn't need to really testauthor of Job right?

Not saying that it's not inspired writing, but notintended it to be a historical account?

Thanks
