(Two = Testimony).In short the first three and a half years is the time when the beast is in the abyss.There is no trampling at this time and this is evident because the two witnesses are still alive.Once the beast is released, the two witnesses are killed and the next period begins which is the trampling of Gods' people. | |

However: You state the trampling must come after the witness give their testimony, but I don't see a substantive argument for it. This is the crux of my question. How do we know the trampling period and the witnessing period are not the same 3 1/2 years? Also, I specifically asked for answers without reference to Daniel 9. I'm suspicious of an interpretation which requires a 2000+ year gap to make it work. | |
