comment Does Paul refer to his past or present evil/sin in Romans 7
Thanks Jack, I will edit it then. Maybe this week or shortly after, as I would like to be rested up and have time to sit and do it better. Yeah editing someone's post and changing it just doesn't sound right to me. I don't mind someone correcting my spelling, but changing the text can be putting words in someone mouth that they were not saying.

Being new here and all, I'm still working my way through some of how things work here. If I wanted to redo and add more information, do I just edit what I have written or do I just add another answer? which would not be another answer, but more like added information.

Thanks for the welcome Jack. I just read over my post and wish I had put more time and thought into it, as it could be improved on and added to. I love the book of Romans and like to read others thoughts on it. Romans 7 is a chapter I have studied on for a long time now.

comment Does Paul see baptism as symbolic or as instrumental?
I might would say the verse you give here “Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.—Acts 10:47-48 (ESV)" says they already have received salvation before they were baptized. But overall this is a good response!
