comment Who led the people out of Israel in Jude 5?
@DanO'Day I encourage you to accept the best answer regardless of who answers—most visitors don't know about the community aspect of the site and we are really here to benefit them (we are currently getting 700+ visitors daily, most directly from Google!). Of course I agree this is the best answer (thanks swasheck) but I don't want anyone to get the impression from your comment that you'd choose it even if it weren't :)

+1 for a common-sense answer though you haven't really added much that hasn't been said already ;)

This related question: How different is Biblical Hebrew from modern Hebrew? covers some of the same ground.

comment What's the difference between “sensus plenior” and “inspired sensus plenior”?
Well I don't particularly mind if you want it left just the way it is :) tbh I was wondering if it was deliberate irony given the question ;)

+1 but you have used the word 'particular' 5 times!

comment Is there a link between the Jewish expectation of a literal Messianic kingdom and the command to witness to the ends of the earth in Acts 1?
Thanks for the edits Joseph, I've changed my vote. Lucky I checked back though because otherwise I wouldn't have known you done it. As a courtesy please reply to comments from moderators (I promise not to spam you). This very short paragraph from the FAQ tells you how using the '@' symbol so we get messages.

Also, an aside, your diagram is great: would you be willing to add it in the body of the answer?

I like a 'big picture' answer, but I don't like "Please suffer me to render my "opinion" on the matter" as it seems to refer to a debate on another answer and would merely serve to confuse most visitors. Please consider editing it and I will consider changing my downvote to an upvote.

comment Is Satan one of the “sons of God”?
+1 I like your reasoning which broadly makes a lot of sense to me. It isn't as well formatted and clear as some of your other efforts though: if you have a few minutes would you be willing to break it up a little? Do pop into the site chat room, 'The Library', if you'd like me to show you what I mean.

+1 this is a really good answer, thanks for contributing and a very warm welcome to bh.se.

comment Who is the prophetess in Isaiah 8:3?
@Stephen though you'd have to know Hebrew idiom to know whether it would be impersonal or not. Perhaps it is a question of emphasis: by using this title Isaiah is emphasising her role rather than her relationship to himself, for narrative effect?

@Ron, Fraser, you are right, this isn't the best place to discuss JEDP—either the site chat room or a specific question on the topic would be much better! Fraser I do hope you register and continue to contribute, we value your input on the site.
