comment What is Yahweh's gender?
@curiousdannii I was just reading this answer (and upvoting it), but thinking exactly the same thing you commented. Perhaps your thoughts are worth expanding into an answer? You'd certainly also get my upvote.

comment What was Er's sin?
@Frank yes, he behaves 'to type' (not that all firstborns do, but there is a deliberate pattern I think, perhaps even extending to Adam and Meshiach but that may be stretching it :)

comment What was Er's sin?
@Frank I think Amichai's point is there is a pattern of firstborn's displeasing the Lord, ordained by the Lord. In that sense the word 'because' makes perfect sense (at least to me).

comment Is it possible to be unbiased when interpreting Scripture?
Is it really a case of us 'setting aside our bias' or is it a case of God opening blind eyes? It's an old question I know :)

comment Contextually, which English translation/ Greek text seems more probable in Rev. 5:10?
@Richard I've converted your answer to a comment on Swasheck's answer because that's my best guess about what you intended, forgive me if I've got that wrong. The other possibility that occurred to me is that you are really asking a different (albeit related) question, is that the case?

comment How is Adam “son of God” in Luke 3:38?
Do you mean it 'includes' the broader sense? The biological concept is there too (even evident in the quoted genealogy), isn't it?

revised What “is lacking in Christ's afflictions” according to Paul?
Removed quotes added to question body as they make it harder to read. The basic point here is that the idea that Jesus is "Christ" is already supported in the question by the cited verse, so no offense other than that of the text itself is evident. Also changed title slightly to lenghen the quote.

comment The significance of the designations of families who will mourn in Zechariah 12
An alternative to this edit (discussed here on meta) would be to add more supporting reasoning, joining the dots from the original text all the way through to the conclusions about Yeshua and the Christ. That's certainly possible, would be entirely acceptable, but is a little beyond me!

revised The significance of the designations of families who will mourn in Zechariah 12
What I've *not* done: I've not attempted to remove theology or Kazark's voice or do violence to his intent. OTOH, I've moved certain phrases to footnotes because they are not essential to the main reasoning and because they are not *fully* supported from the cited texts.
