comment 1 Tim 2:12: What about a woman prophesying with authority over a man?
It might be helpful to quote the 1 Tim passage in full if that is where this question starts, but what would be most helpful for clarity's sake would be to re-phrase to make the question clearer - I'm not currently sure exactly what you are asking.

comment Apply hermeneutics by exploring how verse 3 or 4 from (Matthew 5) could apply in a counselling context
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because the question starts from an idea, not the text itself.

Arun, this is still too broad in my opinion - please see the discussion The Library starting here

comment Where is the 'Arabia' that Paul went to?
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback which is very interesting. Do you think it's an important enough issue to incorporate into your answer in some way? I'm happy to try editing your map to show Damascus if you think that would help.

comment Where is the 'Arabia' that Paul went to?
Thanks. What I'm slightly confused about then is the phrase "...I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus..." - doesn't that imply that Damascus is not in Arabia? Or does Paul mean something like "...I went away into the heart of Arabia..."

as this question has a useful answer that has been accepted by the OP, it'd be nice to get it into a state that could be re-opened.

comment What is the structure of the 'foundations' of the city wall in Revelation 21?
I've made an edit - have I made the question clearer that I am interested in the actual structure of the literal walls/foundations that the passage alludes to?

Whether you read the text as literal or symbolic, the question is still about literal foundations - there needs to be something concrete to base a metaphor on. Based on Isaiah 28:16 I'm guessing foundations were usually large stones, either brought in and dropped in a hole, or just discovered by digging down, but I'd like to know if we have archeological or literary evidence to support a theory.
