How do I read your display name? Exactly as it sounds, of course :P (it says "My name is Dan" in broad, phonemic IPA transcription).

The best way to add additional information to your post is by editing it, with the edit button. It is more visible that way, and comments are mainly for secondary, temporary purposes. Comments are removed under a variety of circumstances. Anything important to your post should be in the post itself.

Welcome to Biblical Hermeneutics Stack Exchange! Be sure to take our site tour to learn more about us. We're a little different from other sites. Be sure to properly cite the text you're asking about. The chapter and verse numbers do not always line up between the Hebrew, Greek, and English texts. I've gone ahead and edited this one for you.

I went ahead and closed this question as 'inspiration' is a Christian theological position. It could be reworded to make it a textual criticism question, but then several answers would also have to be deleted. I'll leave this to the OP to decide. I know this is an older question and not all of the same sentiment was in place as it is now.

comment How should 2 Cor 5:10 be interpreted, in light of Isa 43:25?
@kmote I encourage you to read this post, then this one. Your focus is on the application of these texts in contemporary Christian practice, as evidenced by the last two paragraphs (note also the use of first person plural which provides further evidence of this). This has never been on topic here to my knowledge.

This question still isn't a good fit here, but you could ask it on C.SE. I can migrate it if you'd like.

While an examination of Roman slavery practices would be too broad for this format, I am curious if this related question is a duplicate (at least of parts of this question) or not?

au contraire, you earned my upvote ;) - in the future, note that you can also flag the question and when you have enough rep you'll be able to vote to close as a duplicate as well. Thanks for answering and pointing out where the OP can get more information - this answer is helpful.

comment How do you reconcile I Tim 2 saying that a woman is not to teach a man and the account of Priscilla and Aquila teaching Apollos who was a man?
@JackDouglas we'll have to agree to disagree. Thematic connections on the basis of systematic theology are inherently theological in my opinion. If they both purported to describe the same historical event that would be different.
