Welcome to Biblical Hermeneutics Stack Exchange! Be sure to take our site tour to learn more about us. We're a little different from other sites. Using first person plural language when referencing the audiences of ancient texts moves from describing the text itself to prescribing norms that are expressed as binding on readers and therefore imposes this application upon the reader.

comment How do you reconcile I Tim 2 saying that a woman is not to teach a man and the account of Priscilla and Aquila teaching Apollos who was a man?
By your own standard, this doesn't start from one of these texts and show it's work for connecting them. It assumes the connection which will encourage answers to proof text the entire New Testament thematically rather than dealing with a single text (which has already happened).

Again, the underlying issue here is one of the application of Christian theology to the role of women in the Church, which is evident by Tina's answers/comments. There is no textual connection, only a theological/practical one. There are cases where there is also a textual connection (such as Acts describing events in Paul's letters), and in those cases good answers can support or challenge the historicity of either account. In this case, the connection isn't textual.

(But the texts are only related if one brings a Christian systematic theological framework to the text)

Nope, I'm pretty sure I've made it clear that my opinion is that we need to be tougher on questions, while votes are the primary tools for answers. Folks can 'bracket' their biases more, although not eliminate them entirely. This is a theological question as the OP is trying to figure out why 'the Church' interprets these texts differently in application (based on her answers/comments). This question will encourage theological responses. But note that I haven't closed it because I recognize there is currently not a precedent for me to do so.

@MarkEdward those were my thoughts, exactly. And I'd love to see five close votes, but I'm not going to mod-close without more traction (but clearly another mod disagrees). Plus that would have implications for a lot of other questions, so some more clarity is likely needed here, i.e. meta, discussion, etc.)

@JackDouglas I just commented. If I downvote, I like to explain why. There are lots of theological presuppositions being brought to both of these texts. It's not a good question in my opinion - hence my DV.

Why do we need to? These are separate texts by separate authors.

Welcome to Biblical Hermeneutics Stack Exchange! Be sure to take our site tour to learn more about us. We're a little different from other sites. This doesn't show its work, which is a requirement on this site. Don't just tell us what you know, tell us how you know it. This question requires historical sources about Jewish and Roman legal systems to answer.

the other answer shows the level of effort we expect in answers here. This falls short. Showing your work takes work.
