comment How does a Bible translator know if it is a poem?
When this was originally written it may have been OK, but over here at BH.SE we have requirements for showing your work (don't just tell us what you know, tell us how you know it). I'd really love to see you edit this to give some sources and develop/explain your ideas more fully, as they are much appreciated.

comment Who was Neri, father of Shealtiel?
@RaphaelRosch but it's a perfectly valid perspective and he shows his work for it. I'm glad to have Dick's perspective, and many others alongside it. +1

The best way to add additional information to your post is by editing it, with the edit button. It is more visible that way, and comments are mainly for secondary, temporary purposes. Comments are removed under a variety of circumstances. Anything important to your post should be in the post itself.

Welcome to Biblical Hermeneutics Stack Exchange! Be sure to take our site tour to learn more about us. We're a little different from other sites. Be sure to properly cite the text you're asking about. The chapter and verse numbers do not always line up between the Hebrew, Greek, and English texts. I've gone ahead and edited this one for you.

comment Is John 7:53-8:11 inspired?
I went ahead and closed this question as 'inspiration' is a Christian theological position. It could be reworded to make it a textual criticism question, but then several answers would also have to be deleted. I'll leave this to the OP to decide. I know this is an older question and not all of the same sentiment was in place as it is now.
