Please note that length is not an issue here, but preaching is.

Welcome to Biblical Hermeneutics Stack Exchange! Be sure to take our site tour to learn more about us. We're a little different from other sites. Please don't "preach" at readers. Instead, describe your perspective without prescribing it. We're looking for lectures rather than sermons. Please keep in mind that not all of your readers here are Christians.

comment What evidence suggests that Paul was not the author of Titus?
Thanks for the answer, Dick (+1). Could you provide a specific reference where Burton L. Mack makes that claim? I'd like to read the book/paper. Page numbers would be much appreciated (also for the Sullivan citation). Thanks!

comment Was Jesus too young at 12 years old to go about His Father's business?
This has the beginnings of a good answer, but it doesn't show its work, which is a requirement on this site. Don't just tell us what you know, tell us how you know it. Please cite a source for this Jewish law and for how Jews determined adulthood in first-century, second-Temple Judaism.

comment Is there any significance to the shift between cardinal and ordinal numbers in Genesis 1?
Who says this, please cite examples. As it currently stands, this is a comment, not an answer.

"Most people"... like who? You've not listed anyone who thinks that, and the connection is not apparent. Please show your work for this assertion.

comment Was Jesus angry and if so why in Mark 1:41?
I'm surprised this question has never been asked here before, given Ehrman's popularization of this manuscript discrepancy in Misquoting Jesus and the significant difference in textual notes shown in most modern translations. GREAT question!

comment What does “The Lord said to my Lord” mean in Psalm 110?
Welcome to Biblical Hermeneutics Stack Exchange! Be sure to take our site tour to learn more about us. We're a little different from other sites. This doesn't show its work, which is a requirement on this site. Don't just tell us what you know, tell us how you know it. Please connect the dots for us, especially since the original text didn't contain upper and lowercase letters.

There are a variety of contexts: linguistic, historical, literary, etc.

Once you ask about "us", you're moving beyond the original audience of the text and applying this text to modern readers, which is best reserved for other places. Unless you're trying to understand a historical practice? If so, a slight rewording could clarify this.

the word will have specific meanings in specific contexts. A good answer will need to address the translation of the word in the contexts given.

you're right, that last part should be in another question, so why are you insistent on including it in this one?

I refocused this on the text, you went in a different direction towards the end that would be best saved for Christianity.SE once you get an answer about the linguistic aspect(s) of the word here. Check out Why can't I ask my 'big question'?

comment How would Elisha plowing with 12 oxen have been understood at the time of writing?
Welcome to Biblical Hermeneutics Stack Exchange! Be sure to take our site tour to learn more about us. We're a little different from other sites. We expect answers to be just that: answers to the question that explain their stance and show the work for that position. This falls short of that standard. Would you consider editing to expand this?

comment Who wrote the end of Deuteronomy?
I was curious, I think the Joshua argument is pretty good, but I'd like to read much more before being convinced. Even so, this has my upvote.
