comment How can Jesus say “My Father is working until now” in John 5:16,17 if God rested on the 7th day?
Don, something which I think adds to this question. Time and space are bound to one another so when God began creation, He entered time and space yet He is eternal and somehow transcends time and space. We know Jesus was the lamb slain before the foundations of the world, so in effect His work in time and space from the reference point of eternity was completed, before it even began. So the linear tic tok of the clock doesn't apply to Him yet it does to us. Hebrews tell us to enter that rest of heaven and eternity now, so it is possible for us to transcend time and circumstance as well.

Don +1. I see everything you said clearly in the text! There is another question regarding Heb 6:4-6 maybe you want to copy / paste part of it there?

comment Did Ruth uncover Boaz' feet, or something else?
The question isn't weather or not the text could be read one way or the other and "work". Secondly it definitely seems weird to uncover someones feet - why didn't she just wake him up, or talk to him in front of others? Thirdly, you make the assumption that if she were to do something sexual with Boaz, it would be immoral. In my opinion, and respectfully, you didn't say anything to support anything, how 13 up votes for this answer is beyond me. We need to be careful we don't read our churchianity into this OT Hebrew text!

comment What's the difference between “sensus plenior” and “inspired sensus plenior”?
Once the facts / truths are revealed, it would be normative to see them throughout scripture because they are no longer hidden, in effect, due to expressed revelation.

comment What's the difference between “sensus plenior” and “inspired sensus plenior”?
Wouldn't it be obvious that sensus plenior' would be natural post resurrection, especially for Jesus, but also for His followers, including present day followers? The fact that the actual revelation of the historical Jesus, His life, his crucifixion, his resurrection, His assencion, His life in Heaven at present, and basically all the New Testament inspired expression - would express and expose these truths once hidden but now revealed? If our understanding of the coming Messiah was him to become King, and He was killed, the eyes of our understanding wouldn't allow us to see the whole truth.

comment Did Avraham marry Hagar? Did Ya'akov marry Zilpah?
I Disagree, the text calls the slaves wife but also shows that there relationship is not on par / subbordanate to the relationship of their actual WIFE (Abraham to Sarah, Jacob to Leah). You could have the opinion that I need more sited extra Biblical sources, but in the framework of my mind,it is best always to let the Bible speak for itself, and interpret itself.

I am sure you saw I created a similar question post but with a little nuance without knowing this question was posted. Soldarnel said I should post it anyway, I originally edited his post to include my nuance but he undid it I think and made the suggestion. What are your thoughts?
