very interesting question , this also lends support to the Islamic view that Jesus escaped crucufiction. Infact Quran clearly says that someone else replaced Jesus. The crucifiction happened but it could not be christ Jesus. Intending to write an answer for this.

@JackDouglas thats interesting, en.wiktionary.org/wiki/… means slave, or submitting to God alone , can the answerer update the answer with this and instances where it was used to worship God

The question has nothing to do with canonicity , but explicitly where does tanakh differs from Christian OT.

the answer is same like saying that apples are same as oranges because they are from the fruit family , hence thy are same as fruits.
