comment Was the Prodigal Son truly repentant?
I agree with your comments about the Lord's prayer - good point. But I don't doubt that the Father is merciful and gracious - my doubt is whether the Son is 100% repentant.

comment Why did Esau sell his birthright?
According to gotquestions.org, the modern Book of Jasher is a forgery. Is this what you are quoting from? If so, does this quote add anything to the question?

@Caleb thanks for the corrections by why did you delete the jesus tag?

comment Who were the “all” distributed to in Acts 2?
@rhetorician: why should their priority be people inside the church? Giving to those outside is great for evangelism!

comment Why was Barnabas singled out for mention in Acts 4?
Tithes? Or gives? But yes, I think it is about the contrast.

comment Why was Barnabas singled out for mention in Acts 4?
Re: your comment above, sorry no reply / upvote so far. I agree but don't think it is complete. That's why I liked @Jas3.1's comment - that explains why one individual had to be highlighted, and in this case it made sense it was Barnabas. I will +1 if you include those comments. Perhaps Jas3.1 will add his own answer?

@Jas3.1: I like that, good point! That, plus Barnabas later having such a pivotal role, is probably the reason. (Note to self: don't treat chapters as natural boundaries.)

comment When did John The Baptist know Jesus was God's Chosen One according to John 1?
Sorry for the late reply. Why then did John say, "I myself did not know him"?

Not sure about this. He could have said, "I don't think I'm going" but actually He said, "I'm not [yet] going."

I don't understand your answer, perhaps you can help? Are you saying this is an early example of a typo?

Sorry, but I must disagree. Jesus did desire to be publicly present. He taught in the temple (v17), he cried out (v28) and spoke in a loud voice (v37).
