Who are “the least of these my brothers” in Matthew 25? @jimreed Very true. I haven't really looked into this too much. Furthermore, this is a parable and it's "a King" talking here. While we can easily accept this to mean Jesus, it is still a parable, so there might be a little wiggle room in that. Furthermore, you're right that our perspectives and Jesus' perspectives are very differene, since the last (from our perspective) will be first and the first (from our perspective) will be last. Like I said, I can dig into that a bit more. (Still... the question is in regards to the group, not the sorting thereof.) |

Who are “the least of these my brothers” in Matthew 25? Most doctrines state that we should help everyone out since we don't know who is or is not a Christian. Other scriptures support this doctrine. |

Is Keller's view of the father in the Prodigal Son parable a reasonable interpretation? @Ray I agree. This seems to be on topic after looking over Keller's work. |

Who subjected the creation to futility in Rom. 8:20-21? "in classical Greek, has the general signification of expectancy, relating to evil as well as to good. Thus Plato speaks of living in evil hope (“Republic,” i., 330); i.e., in the apprehension of evil; and Thucydides, of the hope of evils to come; i.e., the expectation or apprehension." (Vincent, M. R. Word Studies in the New Testament Vol.) In context though ("hope that creation will be set free"), I agree that this is "hope of good" rather than "evil hope". |

How does the Noah's Ark narrative relate to the Gilgamesh flood account? It is an interesting question (so +1), but I don't think it's on topic for this site since it's not asking about the Biblical text, but about other beliefs, myths, stories, etc. (so VtC) |

Is Keller's view of the father in the Prodigal Son parable a reasonable interpretation? Trying to make the question more about the text and the interpretation rather than the book itself. |
