I'm a hobbyist programmer, part-time sysadmin, and full-time data center management, automation, and cloud computing architect and delivery engineer.

I have experience with myriad editors, shells, and OSes. While I have my [strong] preferences, am pretty much beyond the religious wars of "what's best" when it comes to platform, editor, or toolset: if it works for the problem at hand, and you know it, it's [probably] worthwhile :)

comment What are the holy Scriptures that Timothy has known from his youth?
@swasheck - I was trying to point out that even if he were under 20, the odds of him having heard any of the early epistles is remarkably low

comment What are the holy Scriptures that Timothy has known from his youth?
@swasheck - the first of the NT books was written ~49 AD (or, arguably, ~42AD - though those were letters to individuals or churches, not gospels). Paul wrote Timothy in ~65AD. There is no way Timothy could have heard any of the "New Testament" at his grandmother's knee unless at least the following happened: a) he was close to Israel, b) he is under 20 when Paul writes him

comment What are the holy Scriptures that Timothy has known from his youth?
@swasheck - it's a relevant comparison, not because the letter had anything to do with his age, but because of when it was written

comment Did women contribute to the temple in exodus 35:22?
@RonMaimon - there is no aversion to "florid imagery" in the Song of Solomon, indeed: it is replete with explicit terms

comment Does Moses Speak Broken Hebrew?
sidebar, but fwiw many people speak substantially differently from how they write - especially given that writing gives the opportunity for more thought than does (typically) speaking
