In Matthew 14 Jesus walks on the water. What are the similarities between this account and the ancient Egyptian writings about Horus? Interesting - perhaps you should post your hypothesis as a question on this forum and ask people's view on whether it stacks up. |

Is there external historic or scientific evidence of a particular flood that corresponds to the Genesis 7 account? Thanks Jon - can you add your comment about picking a flood event as an answer? |

Is Keller's view of the father in the Prodigal Son parable a reasonable interpretation? I think all that is assumed from the reading the biblical text, any commentary and Kellers book - my question was - assuming all you have said - Is Keller's extension to say that both the attributes of the sons, the righteousness and the recklessness seen in the Father? |

In Matthew 14 Jesus walks on the water. What are the similarities between this account and the ancient Egyptian writings about Horus? I'm open to any improvements to the question. I ask in an apologetics context speaking to skeptics. |

In Matthew 14 Jesus walks on the water. What are the similarities between this account and the ancient Egyptian writings about Horus? Context - I don't recognise the similarities - but am speaking with people that do. I'm trying to open my mind to the possibilities there might be similarities. Perhaps someone could provide links to a translation of the the Horus text... |
