The U.S. Catholic bishops last year announced that the NABRE New Testament, last revised in 1986, will be revised again so that the same text could be used for both study and liturgical proclamation instead of two slightly different texts today, a Bible used for study and a Lectionary used for liturgy.
I suspect I know what the answer might me but I want a second opinion. The text will conform to the norms expressed in Liturgiam authenticam (2001) According to LA, any difference between the critical Greek text (for example, the 28th edition of the Nestle-Aland) and the Neo-Vulgate will be resolved in favor of the Neo-Vulgate. If this is the case, will a translation of the critical Greek text be placed in the footnotes?
